Friday 19th:
12noon-6pm: Welcome group in the foyer of Queen's SU. Sorcha will meet and greet, and show new arrivals the way to the PEC. You can register/pay on the door at the PEC.
There will also be a unicycling workshop with Marcus Collings on Friday afternoon - brush up on your basketball skills for the tournament!
6pm: Hall closes... everyone heads to the Mandela Hall (grab some dinner on the way!).
8-10pm: Gala Show - featuring our amazing performers including Jitterbug Jackson, Meg, The McJugglers, Birds of Paradise and Matt Hennem!
10pm-1am: Great music from We Are Resistance, The Jahm Band and DJ Venus - bring your toys, there will be room to play :)
Saturday 20th:
10am: PEC opens with stretching/warming up with Anita.
10.30am-1pm: First Irish unicycling basketball tournament (hosted by Marcus Collings). Teams of 5 play off against one another until we find the best Irish unicycling team! Get your name registered asap.
11am-1pm: Staff and poi workshops with Eimhin and Meg.
1.30pm: More workshops, including beginners and advanced juggling, acrobalance, tightwire, (possibly) stilt walking and contact juggling.
Also this Friday and Saturday, and running alongside the convention, the gorgeous Flora is hosting a very specialised aerial course with the incredible Lindsey Butcher. This course is for a limited number of people and will cost £70, but we can organise a good price for those who want to do that course as well as attend the convention shows. Please bear in mind this course is for experienced aerialists/gymnasts and not suitable for beginners. (anyone who wants further information on this… please contact Flora at: circusboneidle@yahoo.co.uk)
6pm: Hall closes and we head outside for the fire show... with performers from FirePoise.
7.45pm: It's back to the Mandela Hall for a bit of renegade shenningans. Music by DJ Chuck, with performances from Gascan Ruckus and Velma.
Sunday 21st:
It's a late start today, with some gentle stretching from Anita from 12-12.30pm in the PEC.
We only have the hall until 3pm, but in that time we will have some games (with prizes from Beard, Home of Poi, Flamestix, Unicycle.com and others) - and just after 2pm we're hosting a fantastic drum circle with the lovely Joe Loughlin from Gathering Drum - to make sure everyone is leaving on a high.
Weekend costs just £25.
Email me for details - everyone very welcome :)
Thanks!
Clare
